A Subdomain (e.g., ¨example.neilpatel.com¨) functions as a separate entity from the main domain (¨neilpatel.com¨), allowing for independent management and SEO efforts, while a Folder or subdirectory (e.g., ¨neilpatel.com/blog¨) is part of the main domain, sharing its SEO authority and being simpler to manage within a unified site structure.
As a general rule, Ubersuggest cannot add folders or subdirectories as projects, only root domains and subdomains.
Although the tool doesn't have a dedicated feature for tracking folders as separate projects, users can still analyze specific pages by entering their URLs individually in the search bar within the Traffic Overview section and the Site Audit feature.
For example, to analyze a folder like "neilpatel.com/blog," enter the URL, and Ubersuggest will provide data specific to the URL searched.
The Traffic Overview report provides insights into the estimated traffic, top pages, and referring domains for a specific website or domain.
Additionally, the Site Audit report assesses the overall health of the folder searched. The Site Audit identifies on-page SEO score, organic monthly traffic, organic keywords, backlinks, and SEO issues and provides actionable recommendations for improvement.
Is it possible to track GSC or GA on the Subdomain Level?
After adding a subdomain URL as a project in Ubersuggest users should be able to connect Google Analytics and Google Search Console to that project.
It´s important to mention that is necessary to have independent properties for the subdomain since the root domain property will not work for it.
