Enhanced Traffic Estimations
The latest traffic estimations are closer to the numbers in Google Analytics. These estimations tend to be higher than those of the previous version of Ubersuggest.
How Are Traffic Estimations Calculated?
To provide traffic estimations, we consider the following:
- Keyword Analysis: We evaluate the monthly search volume of each keyword in our database.
- Rankings and Websites: We analyze website rankings for these keywords and their respective positions.
- Position-Based CTR Analysis: We assess the typical CTR for these positions.
- Comprehensive Traffic Calculation: We aggregate this data with additional information, such as the traffic of each page and, if applicable, data from other countries.
Note: Ubersuggest does not consider other traffic sources, such as Referral Traffic, Social, Email, Paid, etc. We only consider organic traffic.
We continuously improve our calculations to reflect traffic data as accurately as possible. While the data isn't 100% accurate, this is a standard expectation within the industry.
Discrepancy Between Ubersuggest Traffic Estimations and Google Analytics
Traffic estimations from Ubersuggest might differ from Google Analytics for several reasons:
- Data Sources: Ubersuggest efficiently gathers data from Google's API to provide comprehensive reports on traffic, keywords, and On-page SEO, whereas Google Analytics tracks actual user visits.
- CTR Variability: Click-through rates can vary significantly based on numerous factors such as user behavior, device type, and search result position.
- Organic vs. All Traffic: Ubersuggest focuses solely on organic traffic, while Google Analytics includes all traffic sources (organic, referral, social, email, paid, etc.).
- Sampling and Updates: Google Analytics may use sampling for large datasets and updates its data in real-time, whereas Ubersuggest aggregates data monthly.
Updating Monthly Traffic Aggregations
It can take up to 6 days at the beginning of each month for your monthly traffic estimations to update. If you’re looking for new estimates from the previous month, they may not be available until the 6th of the new month. This delay is due to the massive amount of web data that needs to be processed.
