How to Integrate Ubersuggest to Google Analytics
Ubersuggest features a Google Analytics connection on the Dashboard. Connecting to Google Analytics will pull all Organic Traffic Data to the Dashboard (if available).
NOTE: Also, with the new property type, GA4, we recommend connecting your Google Search Console to your projects. Please find the Google guide as a reference.
Once you click on "Connect with Google," you will be prompted to choose an account. If the preferred account is not listed among the choices, select "Use another account."
Then, you'll see a screen where you can select the Google Analytics property to which you want to connect.
Since we now link only GA4 properties, Ubersuggest will select the first data stream listed.
The URL on that Data Stream needs to match your project exactly.
If the connection is successful, you will see a green box after clicking the Connect button.
After connecting, you can see results from Google Analytics directly on the Dashboard, including organic visits, historical traffic data (organic users metric), the ability to see data per day, week, or month, and data for mobile, desktop, or both.
NOTE: The email/account you use to connect does not have to be the same one you use to log in to Ubersuggest.
Can a Universal Analytics Property Be Connected to Ubersuggest?
As you might already know, Google stopped collecting data with Universal Analytics and has been migrating to Google Analytics 4 since July 1st, 2023. Universal Analytics will be removed entirely and inaccessible from July 1st, 2024.
For that reason, Ubersuggest is no longer compatible with Universal Analytics properties; only properties from Analytics 4 will be successfully connected to the Ubersuggest projects.
Find more information about this migration in the Google Help Article Google Analytics 4 Has Replaced Universal Analytics.
Updating Google Analytics Properties
Due to Google ceasing updating UA, any UA-linked project will need more data post-June 2023.
If you set up a GA4 property after this June, remind them that it will only show data from its creation date onwards.
If you need to migrate your properties to GA4, please revise this Google guide.
Make sure that your old property is not connected to your project. In this case, please go to the Dashboard and click the blue Disconnect button.
After doing this, refresh the tool, and you can connect the project to the correct property.
I Can't Connect with Google Analytics. What Should I Do?
To connect Ubersuggest with Google Analytics, you must create a Google Analytics account and property. For more information, visit Google's guide.
Here is a guide to Troubleshooting the Google Analytics connection:
Limits for Invited Users
Ubersuggest allows extra users to access the account. However, it is valid to highlight that invited users may have a few limitations within their version compared to the admin account. For this reason, invited users cannot connect to Google Analytics or Google Search Console.
Invited users will see the button to connect grey out like in the image below:
My GA Connection is Outdated. How Do I Remove It?
If you don't see updates on your dashboard, please click on the blue Disconnect button to reset it.
After removing the outdated connection, refresh the tool and reconnect the project.
