Payment Declined for Users in India
Your recurring Ubersuggest subscription payment has been declined by your bank because your bank wasn't able to receive authorization from you.
In efforts to improve the safety and security of card transactions in India, new recurring payment rules have been introduced. From October 1st, 2021, all recurring payments require user authorization by One Time Password. Read more about changes implemented by the Reserve Bank of India here:
If your Ubersuggest subscription is paid by credit or a debit card, your bank will send you a notification before the recurring subscription payment. Every Ubersuggest subscription payment will have to be authorized before the payment date.
Consider changing your payment method to a card that has been issued by HDFC, ICICI, or Axis. Ubersuggest users with cards issued by these banks report better user experience when approving recurring monthly subscription payments.
How to Skip the Monthly Authorization for My Subscription?
Switch to PayPal, if you are paying for your subscription in USD. Monthly payments will be deducted by PayPal without the need to authorize it with your bank in advance.
Change your payment method from Card Payments to PayPal:
- Log in to your Ubersuggest account: https://app.neilpatel.com/login
- Navigate to your Account and Billing Settings: https://app.neilpatel.com/en/settings/account_billing
- Under Payment Method, click Update
- Select PayPal
- Follow instructions on PayPal and authorize payments
- Your next recurring subscription payment will be deducted from your card via PayPal
Change Your Payment Method to a Card Issued Outside India
If you have a card that has been issued outside India, you will not have to authorize payments every month:
- Log in to your Ubersuggest account: https://app.neilpatel.com/login
- Navigate to your Account and Billing Settings: https://app.neilpatel.com/en/settings/account_billing
- Under Payment Method, click Update
- Select Card
- Enter card details
- Click Save Changes
- Your next recurring subscription payment will be deducted from the new card

How to Pay My Outstanding Balance?
If your recurring monthly payment was declined by your bank, and you weren't able to authorize it in advance, please try using a different card. This way, you will be able to pay your current balance with Ubersuggest and continue using the tool:
- Log in to your Ubersuggest account: https://app.neilpatel.com/login
- Navigate to your Account and Billing Settings.
- Under Payment Method, click Update
- Select Card
- Enter card details
- Click Save Changes
- Your next recurring subscription payment will have to be authorized by you directly with your bank, using a one-time password. In case the payment doesn't go through again, consider switching to a different card by following the same instructions.
