One of the core services provided is website SEO tracking, available in the Dashboard area. This feature monitors various aspects of a website's performance, including backlinks, organic traffic, keyword positions, and site structure (on-page SEO score). While this tool is highly effective, there are instances where clients may not receive email notifications about their website's performance.
Frequency of Alerts for Specific Keywords
A primary reason users might not receive email alerts is due to the predefined frequency for specific keyword alerts. The system is designed to issue notifications only when there are significant changes in keyword rankings, whether they increase or decrease.
For example, an alert may be sent if a keyword drops in ranking, as shown below:
Once an email alert has been sent about a particular keyword, the system is programmed not to send additional alerts for that same keyword. This helps prevent users' inboxes from being flooded with repetitive notifications, ensuring each alert is relevant and actionable.
Example of an alert indicating an increase in rankings:
Backlink Notifications
The system also tracks backlinks, notifying users when new backlinks are acquired. Similar to keyword alerts, backlink notifications are regulated to avoid redundancy. If an alert has already been sent about a change in backlinks, the system will refrain from sending further alerts for the same change.
This approach ensures clients are only informed about meaningful updates without being overwhelmed by excessive emails.
Technical SEO Issues
Technical SEO issues, such as changes in the on-page SEO score, are another important aspect that is monitored. Alerts are triggered when there are problems that need to be addressed to maintain or improve the website's SEO health. However, once an issue has been reported, the system will not send multiple alerts about the same problem unless there is a significant change or a new issue arises. This selective alerting helps clients focus on new and urgent issues, rather than revisiting previously addressed problems.
Not receiving email alerts doesn’t necessarily mean the monitoring system isn’t functioning. Rather, it indicates that the alert system is thoughtfully designed to send only meaningful, non-redundant notifications.
