How to Find Out Competitors’ Keywords
To find a competitor’s top-ranking keywords, use the Similar Websites report:
1. Go to the Similar Websites report.
2. Enter a competitor’s domain. Ideally, choose a popular one — the more traffic it has, the more keyword data will be shown.
Note: Subdomains (e.g., blog.example.com) are treated as separate domains in Ubersuggest.
At the top of the report, you’ll see a graph showing the most relevant competitors and their estimated monthly traffic over the past 12 months.
Below the graph, you'll find a table with detailed competitor data:
- Competitor domains
- Common Keywords: Keywords that both you and the competitor rank for.
- Keywords Gap: The Keywords they rank for that you don’t
- Estimated traffic
- Number of backlinks
You can use the More Domains dropdown to remove or add competitors. Use the Export to CSV or Copy to Clipboard buttons to save the competitor data.
Common Keywords & Keywords Gap
Click View All under either column in the table to drill down into keyword lists.
Each keyword entry includes:
- Volume: How many times the keyword is searched monthly
- Position: Where the competitor ranks in Google
- Estimated Visits: Approximate monthly traffic generated by the keyword
- CPC: Cost-per-click if you were to advertise with that keyword
- SEO Difficulty: How hard is it to rank organically for this keyword
- Paid Difficulty: How competitive the keyword is in paid search
Common Keywords
These are keywords both you and your competitors are targeting. This helps you evaluate shared content themes and keyword strategies.
