Staying ahead of competitors is essential in digital marketing. Ubersuggest’s competitor tracking feature allows them to monitor their strategies, keywords, and backlinks.
Adding Competitors to a Project
In the project’s Dashboard, find the Competitor Tracking option at the bottom.
This feature allows to track:
- Organic Traffic: Estimate how much traffic the competitors receive.
- Common Keywords: See shared keywords.
- Unique Keywords: Identify keywords your competitors rank for.
- Backlinks: Track the number of backlinks the competitors have.
If the user targets multiple locations, they can track competitors in different regions. Use the location drop-down menu at the top right of the report to switch or add locations.
Competitor Limits
Each Ubersuggest plan has a limit on the number of competitors that can be tracked:
- Individual Plan: Up to 5 competitors per domain
- Business Plan: Up to 10 competitors per domain
- Agency/Enterprise Plan: Up to 15 competitors per domain
Note: if users add two competitors but choose to monitor three locations, it will count as six competitors.
For example, tracking two competitors across three locations counts as six competitors.
Adding New Competitors
When creating a project, Ubersuggest prompts users to add competitors similarly to adding keywords.
- Ubersuggest shows the available spots for tracked competitors, including the number of locations.
- Confirm the regions for tracking new competitors. Tracking is available at the country level, but some countries may not be supported.
If the user needs to track more competitors than the plan allows, consider the Competitors Add-On. This add-on allows to track 5 additional competitors per project and is available in the Account & Billing area. Note that add-ons incur a monthly charge.
